Jack’s Story

Jack Alexander Kevin MacMillan
11 October 2000 – 29 January 2013

Jack was the much loved son of Michelle and George, stepson of Mel, brother of Ella-Lin, Charlotte and Liliana.

Jack was a beautiful, gentle, loving, caring young man. He was passionate about his sport. He played local club soccer and cricket from a young age. He played tennis each week and was due to start drumming lessons the day after his passing. In the weeks leading up to his life being tragically taken a friend had been teaching him to surf. We hope he is in heaven now, following those dreams. He was an avid reader, whether a book, his kindle, kids national geographic, or even the newspaper (sports section in particular). He had become so much more self confident and mature in the last six months or so. He was a great mate, friendly and easily made friends. Whilst he loved his Play station and Nerf gun wars, he was conscious of having a healthy balance of being outdoors. Jack was a wonderful big brother to his 3 sisters, a beautiful role model. They have lost their guide, entertainer, future protector and dearest friend. We have lost our best friend, play mate, sports mate, our shining light, our teacher, our beautiful little man. He was, and always will be our hero. We will remember the joy and happiness Jack brought us. We will hold his memory in our hearts and treasure him forever. Jack has left the world a better place than when he found it. He has left all who knew and loved him with beautiful memories. Every second, of every minute, of everyday for the rest of our lives, we will love him, miss him and cherish him.

Beautiful curls surround your face, your eyes so bright, your smile the light in our day. Jacky boy, our beautiful son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, mate XXXX
